Requirements
- Board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) by the ANCC
- Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited psychiatric mental health nursing program
- Active, unrestricted Arizona APRN license
- Active DEA registration
- Registered (or willing to register immediately) with the Arizona Prescription Monitoring Program
- 3+ years of post-graduate psychiatric experience
- Experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, triage, and managing common psychiatric medications
- Experience managing crisis situations
- Experience delivering telepsychiatry, including prescribing and monitoring controlled substances in a virtual setting
- Neurodiversity-affirming approach to care
- Comfort with technology and virtual care platforms (Zoom, EHR, Slack)
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and deliver ongoing medication management for autistic and neurodivergent adults via telehealth
- Use completed psychological evaluations as input to initial assessments and treatment plans
- Prescribe, titrate, and monitor psychiatric medications, including stimulants, following clinical protocols
- Maintain visit cadence and PDMP checks for controlled-substance prescribing per Arizona and DEA requirements
- Maintain clear, thorough documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up visits
- Work directly with Clinical Leadership, Operations, and Engineering to refine care models, protocols, and tooling
- Help define documentation standards, caseload structure, and clinical quality bars
