Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in UX/HCD research with hands-on design exposure.
- Strong toolkit for user research, usability testing, and data synthesis.
- Ability to create wireframes and prototypes in Figma.
- Familiarity with USWDS and federal CX mandates.
- Proficiency in modern research and design tools like Figma, Mural, and Dovetail.
- Genuine expertise in accessibility including Section 508 and WCAG.
- Experience researching data-heavy or AI-driven products such as dashboards or search tools.
Responsibilities
- Plan and run qualitative and quantitative user research including interviews, usability sessions, and surveys.
- Synthesize research data into actionable findings for the product team.
- Translate insights into low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes using Figma.
- Create personas, journey maps, and service blueprints to illustrate user interactions.
- Champion Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards across design and development.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to advocate for the user.
- Support onboarding, training, and product decision-making based on user research.
