Job Details

Deep, hands-on Transformer expertise with a proven track record of architecture or training decisions in substantial systems.
Experience with Vision Transformers, VLA models, multimodal foundation models, or world models.
At least one substantial project progressed beyond simulation into a real or operational physical system.
Strong Python engineering skills.
Direct experience with PyTorch or an equivalent deep-learning framework.
Ability to design controlled experiments, analyze rollout failures, and work with large multimodal datasets.
Strong judgment regarding compute, memory, training stability, inference latency, and cost.
Proven experience setting technical direction for significant research, robotics, or engineering programs.
Capability to manage architecture and resource decisions while mentoring or hiring technical talent.

Define a focused Physical AI research and engineering roadmap with clear milestones and success criteria.
Select and evaluate model families, determining whether to build, adapt, license, or partner.
Design, adapt, train, and evaluate Transformer-based systems for embodied tasks like vision-language-action models.
Establish reproducible offline and real-world evaluation systems, baselines, and release gates.
Take projects from problem definition through training, hardware integration, and real-world validation.
Analyze failures across data, perception, models, control, hardware, and the operating environment.
Design safe, staged physical testing and deployment plans with clear supervision and rollback mechanisms.
Recruit and lead a small team of researchers and engineers while fostering a high-performance technical culture.
