Requirements
- 5+ years of Linux system administration experience in medium to large IT environments.
- Deep expertise with Linux command line, tools, debugging, and performance analysis.
- Familiarity with Linux packaging tools such as Yum, Apt, dpkg, and Rpm.
- Proficiency in Python, BASH, or other high-level scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience administering large-scale NAS storage environments.
- Experience with NFS and SMB protocol mounting and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of SQL and database systems.
- Familiarity with LDAP, Active Directory, and PAM for permission management.
- Experience with Web services including HTML, Nginx, CGI, and Apache.
- University degree required (STEM background preferred).
- Ability to pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain large-scale Linux and storage environments.
- Automate repetitive tasks and identify performance bottlenecks using scripting languages.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system performance issues and network connectivity.
- Support scientific workflows, migrations, and compliance solutions for clients.
- Administer large-scale NAS storage systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot NFS and SMB protocol mounts.
