Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in construction permitting, project management, or a similar role.
- Experience within a SaaS or tech-driven environment.
- Hands-on working knowledge of the permitting landscape across the Midwest.
- Deep familiarity with permitting in Minnesota, Michigan, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
- Existing relationships with municipal authorities and inspectors in Midwest states.
- Proven ability to act as an on-the-ground point of escalation with local jurisdictions.
- Experience unblocking restrictions placed on third-party permit expediters.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills.
- 2+ years of experience leading, managing, and mentoring teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary resource for customers regarding permit status, timelines, and requirements.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of permit applications, including research, documentation, and submission.
- Provide training, coaching, and direction to junior team members.
- Produce detailed progress reports for customers and stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and reduce bottlenecks.
- Ensure all permit applications meet jurisdictional standards and accuracy requirements.
- Monitor permit statuses and engage with authorities to expedite approvals.
