- Strong experience in performance management and individual development.
- Technical depth sufficient to review designs, evaluate architecture/tradeoffs, and earn the trust of experienced engineers.
- Production experience with AWS.
- Proven track record of leading delivery through ambiguity.
- Demonstrated experience coaching others with a multiplier effect.
- Commitment to building inclusive, high-trust, high-performing teams.
- Experience partnering closely with product management on roadmap, prioritization, and scoping.
- Strong technical judgment derived from direct experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of up to 10 engineers, fostering an inclusive and high-trust culture.
- Manage individual performance, professional development, and the hiring process for new team members.
- Own sprint planning and scrum ceremonies to ensure alignment with product priorities.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle to ensure a robust, secure, and maintainable Explorer platform.
- Partner with product management and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize, scope, and deliver the roadmap.
- Identify and resolve technical and process bottlenecks to improve overall team effectiveness and health.
- Communicate project updates and risks clearly across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
