8+ years of experience with modern software development practices and technologies.
7+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, Elixir, and Phoenix.
Strong preference for experience with Flutter and/or React Native.
5+ years of experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, infrastructure-as-code).
3+ years of experience in a consultancy environment.
Advanced experience using AI-assisted development tools within a production codebase.
Demonstrated ability to validate AI-generated code and manage security, privacy, and quality risks.
Experience establishing team-wide engineering workflows, standards, and playbooks.
Proven track record of technical leadership through architecture and influencing engineering practices.
Experience in technical discovery, solution design, and estimation for sales prospects.
Track record of coaching and developing other senior-level engineers.

Own the technical health and direction of SmartLogic's engineering organization by setting standards and identifying gaps.
Lead company-wide AI adoption by developing a skill enhancement strategy, evaluating tools, and coaching the engineering team.
Provide technical guidance and conduct technical 1:1s in partnership with the COO.
Standardize sales architecture processes, including quoting, estimating, and solution architecture for projects.
Lead CI/CD, deployment, and cloud architecture design across various client projects.
Partner with project managers to lead delivery projects, including managing backlogs and technical requirements.
Mentor and support teams of developers, designers, and QA analysts.
