Requirements
- 5+ years of professional senior mobile engineering experience on both Android and iOS.
- Expertise in Kotlin/Java for Android and Swift for iOS development.
- Hands-on experience with Android VpnService and iOS NetworkExtension frameworks.
- Deep understanding of VPN protocols including WireGuard, OpenVPN, Shadowsocks, TCP/IP, and TLS.
- Proven experience with subscription/in-app purchase flows like StoreKit 2 and Google Play Billing.
- Proficiency with unit/integration testing frameworks (Espresso, XCUITest).
- Experience publishing and managing apps on Google Play and Apple App Store.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Agentic AI tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) for development and debugging.
- Solid understanding of software design patterns and clean code principles.
- Experience with version control via GitHub and PR-based workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own the Android and iOS mobile codebase for a consumer VPN product.
- Manage native library integration and debug cross-platform VPN networking stacks.
- Modernize mobile architectures, including migrating legacy XML to Jetpack Compose and UIKit to SwiftUI.
- Define and execute strategic product roadmap alongside cross-functional partners.
- Improve automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and app release processes.
- Monitor and optimize metrics like connection success rate, crash-free sessions, and subscription conversion.
- Implement secure practices for token storage, certificate handling, and user privacy.
