Requirements
- 3+ years of professional Ruby on Rails development experience.
- Strong proficiency with Ruby, Rails, ActiveRecord, and MVC architecture.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL or MySQL databases.
- Experience with background job frameworks such as Sidekiq or Resque.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and backend application architecture.
- Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience writing automated tests using RSpec, Minitest, or similar frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and enhance Ruby on Rails applications, APIs, and backend services.
- Develop scalable business logic using Rails conventions, ActiveRecord, controllers, and service objects.
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs while integrating third-party services.
- Manage database schemas, optimize queries, and implement caching strategies.
- Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and system tests.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scope and estimate features.
