Requirements
- 6-8 years of progressive experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management.
- Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Safety Management Professional (SMP) certification.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping requirements.
- Strong medical case management skills.
- Experience with safety incident management software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and interact with employees at all levels.
- Commitment to personal safety and Zero Injury principles.
- Ability to travel 50-75% of the time to operational plants.
- Ability to climb wind turbines and work at heights.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic safety leadership and oversight for operational plants in an assigned region.
- Partner with Regional Directors, Plant Managers, Site Leads, Site Technicians, and contractor teams to implement and maintain effective site-specific safety programs.
- Communicate safety performance, risks, incidents, and operational needs to regional leadership.
- Execute company safety strategy and Zero Injury principles to drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor site activities and monthly safety training for compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Review job safety analyses and site safety plans to strengthen hazard identification.
- Conduct workplace audits and inspections and track corrective actions.
- Train and coach personnel on safety expectations and EHS systems.
- Lead or support incident investigations and corrective actions.
