Requirements
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- Ability to meet quality and productivity standards.
- 2 or 4-year college degree preferred.
- 1 or more years of relevant experience in medical collections, hospital operations, or provider billing preferred.
- Knowledge of claims review and revenue cycle processes preferred.
- Experience with DDE Medicare system or payer websites preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology or insurance claim terminology preferred.
Responsibilities
- Examine denied and other non-paid claims to determine the reason for discrepancies.
- Communicate directly with payers to follow up on outstanding claims, file technical and clinical appeals, and resolve payment variances.
- Identify trends in underpayments, denials, and payment delays, and work with management to address root causes.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of federal and state regulations, as well as payer-specific requirements.
- Document all activity accurately in client host systems or tracking systems.
