Requirements
- Demonstrated experience delivering two or more of: source code management migration, cloud architecture, DevOps engineering, or CI/CD consulting services.
- Enterprise software development experience with ability to translate requirements into technical designs.
- Progressive DevOps platform experience, including designing scalable systems with performance and security trade-offs.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure in cloud and on-premises environments using Terraform and Ansible.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable automation/integration code and validate changes with testing and code review.
- Experience performing migrations to GitLab using Congregate or similar tooling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical discussions in an asynchronous environment.
- Working knowledge of data consistency and integrity concepts such as ACID properties.
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full technical delivery lifecycle for GitLab Professional Services engagements, from scoping through implementation and handoff.
- Produce high-level and detailed technical designs for GitLab infrastructure and functionality.
- Deploy and configure GitLab in customer environments using Terraform, Ansible, and the GitLab Environment Toolkit.
- Plan and execute source system migrations to GitLab using Congregate while protecting data integrity.
- Provide DevOps and DevSecOps consulting, including advising on internal frameworks and best practices.
- Coordinate and oversee implementation work across GitLab team members, partners, and customer stakeholders.
- Mentor Professional Services and partner consultants by creating documentation, delivery kits, and enablement materials.
- Maintain delivery automation assets, ensuring code cleanliness, maintainability, and testing standards.
