Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of software quality assurance experience supporting healthcare IT or complex enterprise systems.
- 2+ years of experience as a QA Lead, Test Lead, QA Manager, or comparable quality leadership role.
- Experience developing and executing comprehensive test strategies across functional, integration, regression, and UAT.
- Experience with defect management, release validation, requirements traceability, QA metrics, and reporting.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.
- Strong knowledge of test case and test script development, test automation concepts, and QA best practices.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with distributed QA teams and technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of PII/PHI handling, HIPAA, NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and VA privacy/security requirements.
- Experience testing VA VistA applications or MUMPS-based environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead QA and testing activities across VistA applications and workflows impacted by the SSN reduction initiative.
- Develop and maintain project-wide test strategies, plans, standards, and priorities based on requirements, risks, and release schedules.
- Lead and mentor QA Analysts through test planning, execution, documentation, defect management, and release validation.
- Design and oversee functional, integration, regression, security, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Develop and manage test cases and scenarios covering SSN removal, enterprise identifiers, and UI/workflow changes.
- Lead defect triage, prioritization, retesting, and closure while monitoring quality risks.
- Ensure testing addresses privacy, PII/PHI, security, and NIST-related requirements.
- Coordinate UAT with clinical, administrative, and Government stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide QA input during requirements and design activities.
