Requirements
- Excellent spoken and written English with strong, proactive communication skills.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience editing narrative, documentary, or long-form content.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Proven portfolio showcasing both long-form narrative work and short-form social clips.
- Strong instincts for pacing, hook structure, and emotional storytelling.
- Proficiency in audio mixing, color correction, B-roll integration, sound design, and subtitle formatting.
- Deep understanding of platform-specific requirements for Reels, Shorts, and TikTok.
- Ability to self-manage technical tasks and file organization via Google Drive or Dropbox.
- Availability for 60 hours per week, Monday to Saturday.
- Responsiveness on Slack within 15-30 minutes during working hours.
- Fast, reliable internet connection and a personal computer suitable for high-end video editing.
- Quiet working environment with a high-quality microphone or headset.
Responsibilities
- Edit long-form documentary content (10-45+ minutes) using scripted, voiceover-driven narratives.
- Cut short-form social clips for YouTube, X, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook from primary documentary footage.
- Manage the end-to-end editing process from raw footage through to final published asset.
- Maintain a cinematic and journalistic tone while ensuring optimal narrative structure and pacing.
- Collaborate directly with producers to implement feedback within two revision rounds.
- Ensure platform-specific optimization regarding aspect ratios, captions, and hook structures.
