Requirements
- 5+ years of experience supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops or Azure Virtual Desktop in a managed services or enterprise environment.
- 4+ years of experience administering production virtual desktop environments, including Machine Catalogs, Delivery Groups, and image management.
- Proven experience supporting multiple client environments simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Packer.
- Strong technical expertise in PowerShell automation and scripting.
- Experience managing Citrix Gateway (NetScaler) and Citrix Cloud configurations.
- Expertise in Azure Resource Manager and virtual networking.
- Familiarity with thin client and endpoint management tools such as Stratodesk, IGEL, or Unicon.
- Working knowledge of Group Policy, Active Directory, and Windows internals.
- Exposure to ITSM ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a consultative mindset.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 and Level 4 engineering support for managed Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to virtual desktop, application delivery, and session performance.
- Manage and optimize Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, including Studio, Director, and Delivery Groups.
- Deploy and administer Azure Virtual Desktop and Nerdio Manager for Enterprise.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, and Packer to automate environment management.
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and maintain image build pipelines.
- Manage Citrix Gateway (NetScaler) and supporting Azure resource infrastructure.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security while developing standardized operational documentation and runbooks.
- Collaborate with internal architects and client stakeholders to provide advisory services on platform optimization and governance.
