Requirements

5–8 years of professional software engineering experience.
Significant production experience building Go services.
Proven track record of owning and delivering complex, multi-component features.
Experience designing and operating distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures.
Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
Expert-level Go proficiency writing idiomatic, well-tested code.
Solid understanding of API design (REST, gRPC, or GraphQL).
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Understanding of observability practices including logging, metrics, and tracing.
Strong written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design and build backend services including architecting performant, scalable, and reliable Go-based microservices.
Own technical delivery for complex features end-to-end from requirements through deployment and monitoring.
Drive system reliability by diagnosing performance bottlenecks and optimizing database queries.
Define technical direction by proposing architectural decisions and evaluating trade-offs.
Mentor and elevate team members through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
Improve engineering practices regarding code quality, testing, observability, and deployment.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Designers, and QA teams.
Participate in on-call rotation to resolve production incidents.
