Requirements
- Proven experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or in a genuinely equivalent role.
- Strong software engineering background with ability to build production-quality solutions.
- Proven experience implementing complex workflow and process automation solutions.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to define and scope problems.
- Demonstrated ability to operate successfully in ambiguous environments without detailed requirements.
- Experience taking solutions from discovery and prototyping through to final production.
- Strong systems-thinking and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively across APIs, integrations, and existing production systems.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Process Improvement, Product, DevOps, IT, and Security teams to identify workflow bottlenecks.
- Translate ambiguous business challenges into concrete, scalable technical approaches.
- Map existing operational workflows, systems, and dependencies to pinpoint automation opportunities.
- Design, prototype, build, and productionize technical interventions.
- Integrate custom automation solutions with internal APIs, infrastructure, and product workflows.
- Communicate technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Own projects from initial discovery through implementation, working independently of ticket-driven queues.
