Requirements

  • Bring professional or internship experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale, with strong proficiency in either Python or Kotlin.
  • Have a solid understanding of distributed systems and familiarity with technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to translate straightforward business problems or scenarios into robust technical solutions spanning multiple software components.
  • Write software that is clear, well-structured, thoroughly tested, maintainable, and extensible.
  • Be comfortable working within large codebases, debugging code written by others, and participating actively in peer code reviews.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership of professional growth by proactively seeking feedback from managers, teammates, and stakeholders.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills that support effective collaboration within a global engineering environment.
  • Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while managing technical trade-offs and maintaining a strong focus on reliability and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to backend engineering projects and technical initiatives that support team objectives and partner-facing integrations.
  • Design, develop, test, and launch scalable backend systems that interact with multiple software components and services.
  • Collaborate proactively with engineers and stakeholders, providing visibility into project progress, risks, trade-offs, and technical decisions.
  • Balance speed and quality when delivering software while maintaining system reliability and protecting production services from downtime.
  • Write clear, maintainable, well-tested, and extensible code that can evolve with changing business and technical requirements.
  • Navigate and contribute to a large codebase while debugging existing implementations and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive technical feedback, and help maintain strong engineering standards across the team.
  • Engage in team growth and development activities that strengthen collaboration, knowledge sharing, and engineering culture.
