Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 8+ years of corporate accounting experience.
- Accounting experience in a multi-client environment.
- Advanced knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
- Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping, U.S. GAAP, and state/national regulations.
- Solid experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and Google Sheets.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work with a sense of urgency.
- Willingness to work core business hours (8am to 5pm) in local time zone.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain general ledger integrity through recording, reconciling, and analyzing transactions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters for 15 to 20 startup clients.
- Provide due diligence support for client audits, fundraising, and M&A activities.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics, trends, and variances for client management.
- Review and evaluate the work of junior accounting staff.
- Support the tax team with state and local compliance and year-end books for tax preparation.
