Requirements
- Experience as a classroom teacher, in EL/ESL/ELL, tutoring, coaching, or similar student support.
- Online instruction experience preferred.
- College degree preferred.
- Ability to build meaningful professional connections with students.
- Computer (laptop or desktop) with webcam.
- Reliable, high-speed internet connection of at least 20 mbps.
- Clean and distraction-free environment.
- Residency in an eligible US state or Washington DC.
- Must be available to tutor weekdays at least one hour between 4 pm to 7 pm ET.
- Must pass an in-person fingerprint-based FBI background check.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-designed, best-practice math lessons.
- Provide targeted support to help students improve math skills at or below grade level.
- Build meaningful professional connections with students.
- Create an encouraging and motivating learning environment.
- Maintain virtual student behavior and engagement.
- Provide students with practice time and guide with supportive corrections.
