Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, business intelligence, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience working as a Senior Software Developer, Senior Programmer, or in a comparable senior technical role.
- 5+ years of experience with data analysis, data modelling, data mapping, and integration of multiple data sources.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and ETL development.
- 2+ years of experience developing business intelligence reports, dashboards, datasets, and data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
- 2+ years of experience designing or implementing data migration and/or archival solutions.
- Experience working with complex or legacy data environments and transforming historical data.
- Must hold a valid Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance.
- Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- University Degree or College/CEGEP Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, validate, and translate business and technical requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Analyze legacy and source-system data and develop data models, mappings, business rules, and data structures.
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL and ETL processes supporting data migration, transformation, and archival.
- Design, develop, and enhance Microsoft Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, and visualizations.
- Develop data validation, reconciliation, error-handling, and quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with business, technical, and data stakeholders to address data quality, governance, reporting, and retention requirements.
- Prepare and maintain technical and functional documentation, including architecture, data mappings, workflows, technical specifications, and support procedures.
