Requirements
- Solid experience with Java 8+ and Spring Boot, including REST APIs and synchronous/asynchronous integrations.
- Knowledge of backend architecture including Clean Architecture, DDD, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Experience with distributed systems, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL concepts.
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes, preferably GKE).
- Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Competency in automated testing (unit, integration, contract) and TDD.
- Experience with environment management, configuration, and security best practices.
- Experience with observability tools (logs, metrics, traces) and troubleshooting.
- Fluency in Git for branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Experience using AI tools to support coding, debugging, and documentation.
- Professional experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions).
Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve complex backend microservices in production with autonomy.
- Transform business requirements into simple, scalable, and sustainable solutions.
- Manage the full development cycle from technical refinement to deployment.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues.
- Conduct code reviews and disseminate best practices within the team.
- Identify technical risks, bottlenecks, and debt, and propose architectural improvements.
- Collaborate with architects, tech leads, and product teams on BFF design and integrations.
- Act as a technical reference, supporting junior and mid-level developers.
