Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping AI features to production and owning the full lifecycle.
- Strong fullstack fundamentals and comfort working across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- Practical experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, or similar techniques in live systems.
- Evaluation mindset: ability to define success metrics, design experiments, and make data-driven decisions.
- Data competence: solid SQL, basic schema design, ability to build simple pipelines, and willingness to perform data analysis.
- Production readiness: Docker fluency, CI/CD awareness, logging and monitoring, and versioning habits for prompts, models, and datasets.
- LLM platform breadth: experience integrating multiple LLM providers, working with vector databases, and using LangChain or similar.
- Proactive problem framing: ability to identify and solve problems independently.
- Familiarity or experience with compliance and security standards is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship AI-powered features across the product, from prototyping through production quality.
- Work hands-on with LLMs, embeddings, and related AI tooling to solve real product problems.
- Own technical decisions for features, including architecture, model selection, integration approach, and tradeoffs between quality, cost, and latency.
- Build across the stack, ensuring features are tested, monitored, and maintainable.
- Establish good practices for AI feature development and flag technical risks regarding reliability, cost, and edge-case behavior.
- Partner with the Senior Engineering Manager, Product, and the engineering team on planning, sequencing, and shared architecture.
