Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant professional software development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 2+ years of experience developing applications for enterprise business customers.
- 2+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum or SAFe).
- Proficiency in languages/frameworks such as Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, ReactJS, Ruby, Rails, Swift, Python, or Scala.
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda), Docker, Kubernetes, Swagger, Redis, and New Relic.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle RDS, and DynamoDB.
- Strong understanding of unit and integration testing practices.
- Ability to work East Coast core hours (9:30 AM to 3:30 PM) for 40 hours per week.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and technical ownership.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, secure, and provide operational support for new and existing applications within an Agile federal program.
- Build open-source, microservices-based applications using cloud-native technologies in an AWS environment.
- Design, implement, and maintain high-quality, reliable, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
- Write and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests for new and modified code.
- Work with databases and data services including PostgreSQL, Oracle RDS, and DynamoDB.
- Contribute to application design, technical discussions, development planning, and Agile ceremonies.
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders to understand requirements and solve technical challenges.
- Evaluate existing applications and provide practical recommendations for improving security and performance.
