Requirements
- Understand the software testing lifecycle: test cases, test plans, regression testing, smoke testing.
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports with numbered steps, expected vs actual results, severity, and likelihood.
- Experience with a bug tracker such as Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
- Attention to detail for edge cases, exploits, and inconsistencies.
- Strong written communication skills for collaboration in a remote environment.
- Fluency in English for all tickets and team communications.
- Basic understanding of how games are built (client/server, builds, patches) is helpful but not required.
- Ability to manage personal workflow independently.
Responsibilities
- Run smoke tests, quick tests, log in tests and the Steam pass on every candidate build.
- Manage bug reports in Jira from first sighting to reproduction.
- Perform reproduction work on defects that developers cannot recreate.
- Validate fixes and perform regression testing on features.
- Maintain the test record for every run including plan, build, branch, configuration, and result.
- Load every candidate build against archives of saves from earlier versions.
