Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js.
- Experience building AI systems beyond chat interfaces, such as pipelines, agents, or extraction harnesses.
- Knowledge of LLM APIs, prompt engineering, context engineering, and model selection.
- Familiarity with structured data output using JSON schemas.
- Ability to work with messy data including tangled HTML, scanned PDFs, and inconsistent content.
- Experience with ReactJS and REST APIs.
- University degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical communication skills for collaboration with CTO and cross-functional team members.
- Capacity to build repeatable, robust tools rather than demos.
Responsibilities
- Design and build an AI and automation pipeline to read, interpret, and classify municipal website content.
- Map unstructured source material into structured JSON records that conform to defined schemas.
- Develop validation tooling to confirm AI output quality at scale.
- Build a repeatable migration scaffolding for tracking and site scraping across multiple municipalities.
- Implement an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server to integrate pipeline capabilities with existing platforms.
- Create internal tools allowing staff to independently execute content migrations.
