Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Pharmacometrics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant statistical experience with a track record in preclinical or translational statistics.
  • Hands-on experience with population PK/PD modeling using tools like WinNonLin, NONMEM, nlmixr2, or Monolix.
  • Demonstrated experience in experimental design, survival/longitudinal analysis, and post-hoc statistical analysis.
  • Proven track record of exploratory, hypothesis-generating analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new statistical methods and domains independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in R and/or Python.
  • Experience with Rmarkdown/Quarto or Jupyter.
  • Fluency in AI tools (e.g., Claude code).

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead statistical design and analysis for preclinical studies including dose-response, mortality projection, and survival modeling.
  • Build and apply population PK/PD models to support dose-justification and formulation decisions.
  • Conduct exploratory analyses for endpoint development and target/pathway discovery.
  • Serve as statistical point of contact for preclinical studies and coordinate with R&D scientists and program leads.
  • Contribute to internal documentation and reproducible reporting using Quarto or Rmarkdown.
  • Support clinical biostatistics, including SAP development and regulatory strategy discussions.
  • Mentor junior statisticians and peer-review methodology and deliverables for statistical rigor.
