Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on platform functionality, developer tools, full-stack products, application platforms, or related areas.
- Proven experience leading large-scale technical projects from architecture and design through successful delivery.
- Strong backend or platform engineering expertise, combined with the ability and willingness to contribute across the technology stack.
- Experience with one or more relevant technologies such as C++, Java, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, or React.
- Experience building production-grade software and architecting technical solutions of moderate to high complexity.
- Demonstrated ability to use artificial intelligence (AI) tools as part of daily development workflows.
- A strong track record of mentoring engineers and helping improve software engineering practices and technical standards.
- Entrepreneurial and self-directed mindset, with comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to turn ideas into action.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a fully distributed engineering environment.
- Passion for building high-quality software and developer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve core platform services and capabilities that power the developer experience.
- Create new platform capabilities that enable external developers to build high-quality, useful, and engaging applications.
- Lead large-scale technical initiatives from early exploration and architecture through development, experimentation, launch, and ongoing improvement.
- Contribute across backend, infrastructure, client, and full-stack components to deliver cohesive developer platform experiences.
- Design and implement systems and tools that establish the foundation for future developer experiences.
- Review and provide thoughtful feedback on code, technical designs, product specifications, and user experiences.
- Help define the technical strategy and long-term direction of the developer platform.
- Partner with engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate ambitious ideas into reliable products and scalable technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers, share knowledge, raise engineering standards, and contribute to a culture of collaboration, ownership, and high-quality execution.
