Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience managing software development projects.
- Proven experience delivering projects against fixed, immovable external deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience managing client dependencies, formal risk registers, and change-control processes.
- Strong experience managing project scope, budgets, resources, timelines, and multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Hands-on experience leading Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.
- Proficiency with project management and tracking tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Substantial experience working with large, complex systems and distributed engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience in projects involving regulatory or compliance requirements is preferred.
- Experience working with nearshore US-LATAM delivery teams is preferred.
- PMP, CSM, or PSM certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead software development projects across multiple concurrent workstreams, managing scope, budgets, resources, timelines, and delivery objectives.
- Plan and manage critical paths and schedule buffers to ensure successful delivery against fixed and immovable external deadlines.
- Maintain client dependency registers with required-by dates, accountable owners, and clear follow-up actions.
- Establish and manage formal risk registers, identifying, tracking, mitigating, and escalating project risks and dependencies.
- Manage project change-control processes to assess and communicate the impact of changes.
- Coordinate third-party vendor dependencies, including contracts, credentials, and integration requirements.
- Facilitate Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, across software development teams.
- Define and track milestone- and gate-based acceptance criteria.
- Prepare and deliver clear client-facing project status reports.
