Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Practical knowledge of at least one relational database system such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Strong proficiency in microservices and system design patterns.
- Experience implementing the test pyramid (unit, integration, and e2e tests).
- Ability to engage in software design and architecture discussions.
- Effective use of good security practices.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.
- B2 command of English (written and spoken).
- Independent problem-solving and ownership skills.
- Ability to convey ideas clearly across technical and non-technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement backends and their interactions with various data stores and 3rd party APIs.
- Support reliable databases and APIs for real-time automated decision-making.
- Deploy software using industry-standard tooling like Kubernetes clusters and Lambda functions.
- Investigate and resolve production issues by analyzing code, data, and system behavior.
- Implement robust automated test suites to ensure high quality and low failure rate of delivered code.
- Work in a DevOps style ensuring Defense in Depth principles are followed.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to turn business rules into high-quality, tested code.
