Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in performance testing and performance engineering.
- Strong practical expertise with Selenium and LoadRunner.
- Hands-on experience developing performance-testing solutions using JMeter.
- Strong Java programming skills with the ability to create maintainable, scalable test scripts and automation components.
- Solid understanding of performance engineering concepts and metrics like latency, throughput, and concurrency.
- Experience with monitoring and profiling tools such as PerfMon and Grafana.
- Knowledge of JVM tuning and heap analysis.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with version control using Git and defect-management tools like JIRA.
- Familiarity with performance-testing tools such as Gatling or NeoLoad.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable performance-testing frameworks for load, stress, endurance, and spike testing using JMeter.
- Build performance test scripts for complex web applications with dynamic elements, multi-window workflows, and lookups.
- Simulate concurrent-user scenarios to measure response time, throughput, error rates, and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to define performance requirements and optimization opportunities.
- Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Implement test-data management, dynamic-value correlation, parameterization, and error handling.
- Analyze performance results and application behavior to identify bottlenecks, scalability constraints, and optimization areas.
- Apply monitoring and profiling techniques including JVM performance analysis and heap utilization.
- Mentor junior performance engineers and contribute to improvements in testing strategies and frameworks.
