Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Python and backend engineering
- Hands-on experience building systems with OpenAI, Claude, or comparable LLM platforms and agentic frameworks
- Production experience implementing RAG architectures, tool calling, and complex API integrations
- Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS or other major cloud platforms
- Proven track record of building and shipping production web applications
- Practical experience with voice AI technologies including speech-to-text and text-to-speech
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of technical decisions, and operate without close supervision
Responsibilities
- Review the existing prototype and codebase and assess what can be carried forward
- Design the target architecture for a scalable, multi-customer AI platform
- Build backend services and APIs in Python
- Develop agentic LLM features using OpenAI or Claude models, including RAG and tool calling
- Integrate voice AI components for speech-to-text and text-to-speech
- Integrate digital avatar technology into the product experience
- Set up and manage cloud infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring on AWS
- Take features from concept through to production deployment for real customers
- Make build-versus-rebuild decisions and document architectural choices
- Collaborate with the founder and the lead engineer on technical direction and priorities
