Requirements
- 8+ years building backend systems.
- Deep expertise in Python and modern backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Strong database fundamentals including PostgreSQL, SQL, schema design, migrations, and ORMs.
- Experience building production-grade APIs.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and the full delivery lifecycle including CI/CD, deployments, monitoring, and incident management.
- C1+ English proficiency with strong communication skills.
- Experience in payments, fintech, or financial services is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with payment rails (SEPA, ACH, Wires, Faster Payments, CHAPS, Bacs) and messaging formats (PAIN, CAMT) is a plus.
- Experience with bank integrations using H2H, SFTP, or ISO 20022 is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end execution for backend systems and infrastructure.
- Own secure connectivity with banks and partners by provisioning host-to-host connections (SFTP), managing endpoint setup, and handling SSH + PGP key exchange and rotations.
- Implement and validate end-to-end payment and data pipelines including ISO 20022 parsing, bank testing, reconciliation, and production readiness.
- Lead integration projects across banking and enterprise systems, defining scope, design, and delivery for payment flows.
- Build and maintain customer-facing integrations between DualEntry and third-party platforms such as AP/AR tools, billing, CRM, payroll, and data warehouses.
- Debug and resolve connectivity, payment, and statement issues via log tracing and monitoring tools.
- Increase system reliability by automating onboarding, standardizing test frameworks, and building maintainable backend tooling.
