Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 6 to 9 years of security engineering experience with hands-on cloud experience.
- Expertise in AWS (primary) and Azure, including IAM, secrets management, and network security.
- Experience building controls, policies, and detections as code (IaC/Policy-as-Code).
- Deep knowledge of application security, including secure SDLC, threat modeling, and API security.
- Proficiency in container security, including image scanning and runtime protection.
- Familiarity with AI and LLM security risks (e.g., OWASP Top 10 for LLM, MITRE ATLAS).
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- Experience with SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and incident response.
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills for cross-team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Own cloud security posture management across configuration, workloads, and entitlements (CSPM, CWPP, and CIEM).
- Shift security left in CI/CD with static, dynamic, and dependency scanning and threat modeling.
- Design network segmentation, zero trust access, and traffic inspection across cloud and hybrid networks.
- Lead data classification, encryption, and tokenization, with privacy by design for PHI and ePHI.
- Design guardrails and monitoring for AI and generative AI systems against risks like prompt injection.
- Tune SIEM and cloud-native detections and drive incident response and vulnerability management.
- Maintain security baselines and configuration compliance, coaching engineers on secure defaults.
