Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • At least 24 semester hours in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent Federal contracting/acquisition experience within the last 5 years.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Knowledge of VAAR and/or other applicable Federal acquisition regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Government contract writing systems such as eCMS, SAM.gov, CPARS, FPDS-NG, and GSA eBuy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English by telephone, email, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct acquisition planning and market research.
  • Draft solicitations, amendments, awards, and related acquisition documents.
  • Prepare and analyze Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
  • Conduct cost and price analysis and prepare price reasonableness recommendations.
  • Review acquisition packages for compliance with FAR, VAAR, and VA policies.
  • Assist with pre-award and post-award contract administration.
  • Draft contract modifications, option notices, and change orders.
  • Prepare contract files for closeout.
  • Maintain acquisition documentation in systems like eCMS.
