Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- At least 24 semester hours in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Federal contracting/acquisition experience within the last 5 years.
- Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
- Knowledge of VAAR and/or other applicable Federal acquisition regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Government contract writing systems such as eCMS, SAM.gov, CPARS, FPDS-NG, and GSA eBuy.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English by telephone, email, and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Must be available to work 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct acquisition planning and market research.
- Draft solicitations, amendments, awards, and related acquisition documents.
- Prepare and analyze Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Conduct cost and price analysis and prepare price reasonableness recommendations.
- Review acquisition packages for compliance with FAR, VAAR, and VA policies.
- Assist with pre-award and post-award contract administration.
- Draft contract modifications, option notices, and change orders.
- Prepare contract files for closeout.
- Maintain acquisition documentation in systems like eCMS.
