Requirements
- Currently enrolled as an upperclassman at a Virginia state college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Microsoft 365 or Azure.
- Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles and frameworks.
- Strong research, documentation, and technical writing abilities.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship (if required for access to certain systems or data).
Responsibilities
- Assist in IT automation processes, including documenting security practices and reviewing/validating automation workflows.
- Contribute to the design, testing, and rollout of a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment.
- Conduct audits of tenant security configurations.
- Identify system vulnerabilities and draft remediation recommendations.
- Collaborate with senior staff on monitoring, compliance reporting, and risk management.
