Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of RCM experience.
- Extensive experience in healthcare accounts receivable and collections.
- Strong knowledge of Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare eligibility and billing requirements.
- Experience working in digital or virtual health environments.
- Proficiency with medical billing systems (e.g., Candid Health, Healthie).
- Understanding of medical coding principles and denial management.
- Strong analytical skills to identify data trends and suggest improvements.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a high-volume environment.
- Commitment to HIPAA and regulatory compliance guidelines.
- Fluent in Spanish (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze denial trends to suggest process and system improvements.
- Research and resolve unpaid, denied, and rejected claims through communication with payers.
- Handle EDI transactions, including reconciliation of submissions and rejection reports.
- Partner with the Insurance Verification team to identify upstream impacts on claim processing.
- Execute collection activities in compliance with payer guidelines and filing limits.
- Review posted payments and process account adjustments.
- Monitor accounts for irregularities and investigate patient billing inquiries.
