Requirements
- Recent college or university degree in Marketing or Business-related field.
- 2+ years of sales and account management experience in transportation and logistics field (preferred).
- Previous experience in an analyst role and or in pricing function (asset).
- Experience working B2B sales involving complex deals (asset).
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the sales planning process.
- Ability to understand business processing requirements using technology.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills.
- Strong negotiation skills with proven closing ability.
- Ability to function independently with little or no supervision as well as function in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and track active shipments throughout weekend hours, maintaining real-time visibility and service performance.
- Communicate with customers, drivers, and internal teams regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, and operational issues.
- Update customer portals, systems, and shipment records with accurate and timely information.
- Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments and ensure customer requirements are met.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve service disruptions, delays, load recoveries, and other operational exceptions.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, providing timely solutions and follow-up.
- Prepare and distribute overnight reports, ensuring all critical updates and exceptions are communicated to the daytime operations team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate effectively with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
