Job Details

10+ years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity and/or software engineering.
Substantial experience in security operations, including working within or leading a SOC.
Strong software engineering background for building security tools and platforms.
Hands-on proficiency with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
Working knowledge of Git, GitOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, and Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of security monitoring, threat hunting, incident response, and defensive practices.
Experience working with complex or high-impact security environments.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and mentoring skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or equivalent professional background.
Demonstrated interest in open source security.
Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001 is a plus.

Provide operational and technical leadership across security operations initiatives.
Design, build, deploy, and operate security software, platforms, and tooling.
Monitor security environments, identify emerging threats, investigate incidents, and drive remediation.
Assess existing security controls and implement improvements to strengthen the security posture.
Apply software engineering and site reliability principles to automate security processes.
Mentor and support early-career Security Operations engineers.
Plan, prioritise, and deliver security initiatives within an agile engineering framework.
Collaborate across engineering and security teams to address complex technical challenges.
Contribute to the open source security ecosystem through research and technical projects.
