Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend technologies.
- Significant experience with Laravel, PHP 7+, and MySQL.
- Experience with testing pipelines in a deployed web application.
- Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) in production codebases.
- Ability to think through complex system usage scenarios and ripple effects.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions under uncertainty.
- Mentality focused on customer and business value over unnecessary abstraction.
- Experience with queue/job-centric backends is a plus.
- Experience with third-party API data ingestion is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop new features and maintain existing workflows within the core platform.
- Contribute to product shaping discussions and iterate based on customer feedback.
- Partner with product, sales, and customer success teams to solve customer problems.
- Refactor core code to improve maintainability, testability, and readability.
- Implement observability tooling for monitoring and debugging production systems.
- Analyze and remedy performance issues and feature bugs.
