Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building and supporting products in a production environment.
- 7+ years in software development, including experience managing through leaders.
- Demonstrated experience building sustainable, high-performing team structures.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams building AI/ML or agentic products.
- Direct experience collaborating with or leading applied scientists and AI/ML engineers.
- Recent experience leading the development of modern AI products, agentic or LLM-based systems.
- Strong understanding of model evaluation, quality, and foundation models.
- Experience developing enterprise-level distributed applications using Python, Java, or similar.
- Familiarity with systems for deploying, managing, and serving machine learning models.
- Experience with generative AI, including open source and third-party solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead high-functioning, sustainable teams of applied AI/ML scientists and engineers.
- Drive the engineering of foundational AI/ML products for the entire product suite.
- Partner with the VP of Engineering to define strategic growth, architecture, and product direction.
- Guide teams through complex technical roadmaps, aligning with product management and design.
- Coach, mentor, and develop engineering leaders and individual contributors.
- Collaborate across the organization to ensure successful execution of AI initiatives.
