Requirements
- Proven professional experience in KYC, AML, compliance, or a closely related field, preferably within a high-risk industry such as payment services, financial technology, crypto, or iGaming.
- Previous experience conducting comprehensive KYC/KYB due diligence and counterparty verification.
- Strong understanding of international KYC and AML procedures, regulatory requirements, and risk-based compliance frameworks.
- Active professional AML/CFT or KYC certification, such as ACAMS/CAMS, ICA, CySEC, or an equivalent qualification.
- Hands-on experience with compliance software, KYC platforms, transaction monitoring solutions, and PEP and sanctions screening tools.
- Strong understanding of corporate documentation, beneficial ownership structures, and counterparty risk assessment.
- Experience working with payment service providers, banks, or other regulated financial partners is highly valuable.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies or potential compliance risks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple onboarding processes, documentation requirements, and priorities simultaneously.
- Proactive, responsible, and comfortable working independently in a fully remote, international environment.
- Strong adaptability and willingness to stay current with changing regulations, compliance technologies, and industry practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive KYC and KYB due diligence for counterparties, ensuring appropriate verification, documentation, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage and support the onboarding process with payment service providers, banks, and other financial partners, acting as a key compliance point of contact.
- Coordinate company onboarding with external B2B partners and manage KYC questionnaires, corporate documentation, and related compliance requirements.
- Review and assess corporate structures, ownership information, business activities, and other relevant documentation as part of counterparty verification.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve KYC procedures and AML policies, with a particular focus on counterparty verification and relationships with payment providers.
- Administer and optimize KYC, screening, and monitoring tools to support effective due diligence and ongoing risk identification.
- Conduct screening and monitoring activities relating to sanctions, politically exposed persons, and other relevant risk indicators.
- Stay informed about evolving international KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements and incorporate relevant developments into internal processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve compliance issues efficiently and maintain smooth onboarding processes.
- Contribute to a strong compliance culture by promoting consistent standards, effective controls, and proactive risk management.
