Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent related field experience.
- 10+ years of recent, hands-on experience as a Cisco-based network engineer.
- Active Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification with documented work experience.
- Experience working within global data center environments.
- Solid experience with the support and implementation of virtualization clusters (VMware) and software-defined networking, specifically VMware NSX.
- Expert-level troubleshooting skills with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ASA/ASR platforms.
- Expert-level experience with F5 LTM, APM, and ASM hardware.
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-scale, highly available, mission-critical network infrastructure.
- Superior communication skills with a positive attitude and aptitude for growth.
- Ability to independently pursue positive outcomes for assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex network troubleshooting during incidents to meet SLA commitments.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
- Document work in the ticketing system and maintain knowledge base articles.
- Develop technical documentation, including diagrams and Customer Design Requirements (CDRs).
- Prepare detailed Service Incident Reports (SIRs) including root cause analysis.
- Plan and execute changes for customer requests, lifecycle, and implementation projects, often outside business hours.
- Triage incoming incident and change tickets for Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure and Disaster Recovery customers.
- Manage networking configurations including switches, firewalls, load balancers, IPSEC VPNs, and WANs.
- Implement and administer network security hardware and software.
- Provide overflow support for Cloud Services deployment engineering.
