Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience building production mobile applications.
- Deep expertise in iOS development and Swift.
- Working proficiency in Kotlin and ability to support a production Android codebase.
- Hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) integration.
- Proven experience building offline-first mobile applications with real-time, two-way data sync.
- Experience working with mapping SDKs and location-heavy mobile applications.
- Experience leading or mentoring mobile engineering teams.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines for mobile (e.g., Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions).
- Strong proficiency in written and verbal English.
- Comfort and experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
- Must be able to maintain consistent overlap with U.S. working hours.
Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation and implementation of Kotlin Multiplatform to share business logic across Android and iOS.
- Architect and develop the first iOS application, focusing on iPad compatibility for field use.
- Contribute to and conduct code reviews for the existing Kotlin-based Android application.
- Strengthen offline-first mobile architecture, including local persistence, background synchronization, and conflict resolution.
- Manage location-heavy features including mapping SDKs, in-app navigation, and reliable photo capture under poor connectivity.
- Establish and maintain mobile engineering standards through architectural guidance and mentorship.
- Collaborate with backend, design, product, and QA teams in a fast-paced environment.
