Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of quality assurance experience in food, beverage, dietary supplement, or consumer health.
  • Experience with products sold outside the US, particularly in EU markets.
  • Hands-on knowledge of EU food and supplement quality requirements, including GMP, HACCP, and traceability.
  • Proficiency in core quality systems: CAPA, root cause analysis, document control, and change control.
  • Experience qualifying, auditing, and managing external manufacturers and co-packers.
  • Experience contributing to recalls, withdrawals, or market actions.
  • Capability to manage stability protocols and third-party lab relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones including US, UK/EU, and Asia.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently in a high-trust, remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Release finished products after verifying specs, COAs, manufacturing docs, deviations, and market requirements.
  • Own consumer complaint intake and triage across all levels.
  • Build and execute processes for traceability, recalls, and food safety incidents for EU products.
  • Manage supplier and contract manufacturer qualification, including audits, CAPAs, and performance monitoring.
  • Conduct BMT and stability testing, including OOS/OOT investigations.
  • Assess quality and regulatory risk for changes in formulations, ingredients, processes, and packaging.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs to ensure compliance of labels, claims, and formulations.
  • Monitor international quality KPIs and maintain audit-readiness.
