Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or related Software Engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for complex data processing and software development.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, and Data Mesh principles.
- Strong expertise in AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, EventBridge, Firehose, Lambda).
- Solid experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) and platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Experience designing real-time streaming architectures (e.g., Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis).
- Familiarity with data transformation and modeling tools like dbt.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps/DataOps practices, Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Advanced English proficiency for effective technical and non-technical communication.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency batch and streaming data pipelines to ingest and process financial transactions.
- Design, scale, and optimize cloud data warehouse and lakehouse architectures for massive volumes of data.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to translate business needs into reliable data solutions.
- Implement data quality frameworks, automated testing, monitoring, and alerting to ensure compliance with SLAs.
- Drive the adoption of DataOps practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Champion data governance, privacy, and security standards such as GDPR/LGPD compliance.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level Data Engineers.
