Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Previous experience formally managing a team or leading engineers as a technical lead.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation).
- Deep understanding of CI/CD systems and modern software delivery practices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (Fargate, ECS, EC2, RDS/Postgres, ElastiCache, Lambda, SQS, Kinesis).
- Strong knowledge of observability, including metrics, logs, and monitoring (Datadog preferred).
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Node.js, or TypeScript).
- Solid understanding of cloud security, secret management, and compliance.
- Ability to hire, mentor, and develop engineers.
- Strong communication skills in Spanish and working English proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a DevOps squad of 4–8 engineers.
- Own team delivery commitments, infrastructure and code quality, and engineering outcomes.
- Contribute directly to infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, observability, automation, and cloud cost optimization for 40–60% of time.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career-development coaching.
- Hire and onboard new engineers while building a culture of ownership and accountability.
- Remove technical and process blockers.
- Manage squad-level incidents and post-mortems.
- Align technical initiatives with business OKRs and KPIs.
- Communicate risks, trade-offs, and priorities to stakeholders.
