Requirements
- 10+ years of high-performance experience in Business Development or Real Estate Development.
- Proven track record in a Design-Build, General Contractor, or real estate developer environment.
- Deep understanding of Greater Houston real estate fundamentals, land use, and construction costs.
- Ability to navigate technical discussions regarding robotics, architecture, and advanced material science.
- Established network of local developers, investors, and architectural influencers in the Houston area.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Real Estate, Construction Management, or related field.
- MBA or MRED preferred.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools such as Claude and Gemini to accelerate research and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Identify and penetrate market segments including master-planned communities, retail, and mixed-use developments.
- Lead the regional Go/No-Go process to vet opportunities against technical and business criteria.
- Cultivate and maintain a network of C-suite developers, private equity investors, and architects.
- Manage the full deal lifecycle from visioning sessions to signed contracts and account transition.
- Conduct high-level financial and technical feasibility assessments for prospective projects.
- Lead the negotiation of complex Design-Build agreements.
- Partner with regulatory teams to navigate permitting hurdles with local authorities.
