Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate risk management and insurance placement.
- Substantial focus on Property & Casualty coverage in energy, utility-scale infrastructure, or oil & gas.
- Proven experience translating heavy industrial or energy sector property risk into bankable insurance programs.
- Deep technical expertise in evaluating and negotiating insurance covenants, indemnity clauses, and liability caps.
- Strong commercial acumen in leading major loss claims and underwriter presentations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-moving, multi-disciplinary team environments.
- Must be located within 60 miles of designated hub offices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive framework for Intersect's insurance and risk management processes.
- Identify and monitor business risk across operations and new project developments.
- Design and structure insurance program limits, deductibles, and self-insured retentions.
- Manage underwriting preparation and coordination with brokers and project teams.
- Review and negotiate insurance, indemnity, and liability provisions in EPC and financing agreements.
- Lead insurance due diligence for M&A and transaction activities.
- Coordinate incident response, claims handling, and post-loss mitigation.
- Advise executive leadership on risk trends and manage reporting to Google.
