Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Paralegal, Lawyer, or Attorney.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with a trademark or intellectual property law firm in the United States.
- Strong hands-on experience with U.S. trademark prosecution.
- Experience with USPTO and Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS).
- Experience with trademark docketing and portfolio management software.
- Familiarity with TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 or comparable cloud-based business tools.
- Advanced hands-on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
- Proven employment stability, with at least two years of tenure in each prior role.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys with U.S. trademark prosecution and portfolio management.
- Prepare and file trademark applications, renewals, assignments, and USPTO submissions.
- Conduct preliminary trademark searches and organize search results.
- Monitor trademark application status, deadlines, and office actions.
- Assist with responses to USPTO Office Actions and gather supporting evidence.
- Maintain accurate trademark docketing systems and calendar critical deadlines.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, specimens, and ownership details.
- Coordinate with foreign associates for global trademark portfolios.
- Assist with copyright registrations and legal research.
